Spring = Canyonlands Sunsets
Springtime in Colorado means it’s time to escape to the desert, and for me, that means Canyonlands National Park. Every March or April, I find myself drawn back to its vast, untamed beauty—the kind that swallows you whole in the best way possible. There’s something about the deep solitude, the towering red rock formations set ablaze by the setting sun, and the endless sky that makes it feel like another world.
And the clouds? They never disappoint. They dance, shift, and glow, turning an already breathtaking scene into something utterly unforgettable. The sunset that inspired these three paintings was one of the most mesmerizing I’ve ever witnessed. Every second, the colors deepened, the shapes evolved, and we kept gasping, “Oh my gosh, look at it NOW!” That’s the kind of magic I live to paint—the fleeting, once-in-a-lifetime moments that deserve to be remembered forever.
Do you have a favorite sunset—the kind that left you speechless? Let’s turn that memory into a painting you can keep forever. Reach out, and let’s create something beautiful together!
